Wood Carved Witch Collectible`s |
All of the sculpture`s on this page are one-of-a-kind hand carved in wood. |
How they are made: The first thing James needs to do to make one of his sculpture`s is to find the wood. He uses wood from found fallen tree`s off of his property. The wood is taken home and cut to the desired size. The bark is removed and the piece is carved and sanded. Some of the natural curves, nooks and crannies are left in to give them their individual character. He then begines to add to the carving (using a sawdust and glue mixture) eyes, buttons and anything else he feel`s the character need`s. They are then sanded a second time. He paint`s them with latex house paint to give them a longer color life. They are then decorated using item`s such as cloth ribbons and anything else he feels they need. Each of my witches comes with her own pet spider. This one will give you an idea of what they look like. They are made out of a sawdust and glue dough. There legs are made of gold craft wire. They are painted with latex house paint. Each one will very in shape and color. They very in size but are all aproximately 1in. long x 1 1/2 in. wide x 1in. tall. |
